Styled letters and some emoji may count as 2 characters on Instagram. Leave a little room.
Instagram has its own link field. The link line is optional and counts toward the 150 here.
Read this before you paste.
The short version: use these for 1 or 2 words, not for your whole post.
These are not fonts.Every style here is a set of special characters from Unicode. Your text is swapped letter by letter. The page does not change any font on your account.
- Screen readers read them badly. Many say a long name for each letter, or skip the text. People who are blind or have low vision may not get your message.
- Search cannot find them. A word in a fancy style is not the same word as the plain one. Do not use these for your name, your niche or any word people search for.
- Some phones show empty boxes. Older phones and software may not have the character. Rare styles fail more than common ones.
- Letters only. Most styles change letters, some change numbers too. Accents and other languages often stay plain.
What to do: use them sparingly, on 1 or 2 words. Never on a whole caption. Never on key words people search for. Test on your own phone first.
Where they show: most apps display them, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn and Pinterest, in bios and captions. We cannot promise it for every phone or every field, so check before you post. Bold, italic and script are the safest picks. Squared, upside down and combined-mark styles like strikethrough and underline are the most likely to break.

Font generatorย questions.
7 answers. Anything else: hello@mirkaat.com
01Are these real fonts?
No. They are special characters from the Unicode standard, the same system that holds emoji. A "bold" letter here is a different character, not a plain letter in a bold font. That is why you can paste it almost anywhere.
02Do they work on Instagram, TikTok and the other networks?
Most apps show them, because they just display text. Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, LinkedIn and Pinterest all handle most of these styles in bios and captions. A few rare styles can show as empty boxes on older phones. Always check the result on your own phone before you post.
03Do they hurt accessibility?
Yes. Screen readers often read these characters badly. Some say each letter as a long name like "mathematical bold capital A". Others skip them. People who use a screen reader may miss your text, so keep it short and never put key info in a fancy style.
04Will people find my posts in search?
No, not for the fancy words. Search matches normal letters. A word in a special style is not the same word to the search tool, so nobody finds it by typing that word. Keep your name and key words in plain text.
05Why do some styles show empty boxes?
The phone has no picture for that character, so it shows a box. This happens more on older phones and old software. The common styles like bold and italic are safest. Rare ones like squared or upside down fail more often.
06How long can an Instagram bio be?
An Instagram bio holds 150 characters. Line breaks, spaces and emoji count too. Styled letters and some emoji may count as 2 characters each, so leave a little room. The bio builder on this page shows a live count and warns you when you go over.
07How much should I use them?
Very little. Use 1 or 2 words in your bio line or a short heading. Do not write a whole caption in them. Plain text is easier to read, easier to search and works for everyone.
